According to a mintel.com report, in 2022, 51% of UK Black Friday shoppers made impulse purchases (Mintel Black Friday Report).

This suggests the sale encourages people to purchase items purely because they are on sale, and this goes against our principles; we want people to buy our products because they plan on using them for a long time.

And so, we’ve taken the decision that we will not discount our products for Black Friday. Instead, we will mark the occasion by donating profits from sales made over that weekend (Friday 24th – Monday 27th) to a charity that is close to our hearts; Bliss Cavalier Rescue.

Bliss Cavalier Rescue is a registered charity in England that relies entirely on the public for donations. Since 2020, they’ve seen a considerable increase in the number of dogs being surrendered for various reasons, many of them unwell and in need of additional care due to an apparent increase in irresponsible amateur breeders trying to make a quick buck.

We love dogs, and of course, we have a soft spot for cavaliers – our 3 were the inspiration for this business. Without these donations, Bliss Cavalier Rescue wouldn’t be able to carry on doing what they do, so we think this is as good a cause as any to support – and as our business grows, we hope to support others too.
